the hook brings you back… (oh and so does a small arsenal of guns and weed)

March 8, 2007

John Popper of the 90’s band Blues Traveler, who was behind amazing songs such as Run Around and Hook… was caught speeding in his Mercedes (or some expensive car,the car is irrelevant here) driving at 111 MPH. ONE HUNDRED AND ELEVEN MILES PER HOUR. That’s pretty damn fast.

What makes it even better, is that in his car police found a bevy the complete Topps 2007 MLB an arsenal of assault rifles and a little bit of weed… we’re not talking like one or two guns and a few rounds. We’re talking like 8 assault rifles, night visions goggles (NIGHT VISION GOGGLES!!!), a handful of handguns, a grenade launcher (ok i lie, but at first glance one of those looks pretty hefty there), a shotgun… a taser (just in case the guns don’t work and you’re close enough he’ll taser your ass)… oh and a vest full of harmonica’s in every full and half step of the chromatic scale that doubles as throwing knives.

“Popper indicated to troopers that he had installed these items in his vehicle because (in the event of a natural disaster) he didn’t want to be left behind.”

Woaaaa. Those night vision goggles are pretty sweet. We could probably freak out D Train if we had a couple pairs of them and snuck up on her while she was sleeping with Luca.

    He may be a bluesman,
but he really knows how to rock and roll!

Actually the only ONE that may be considered an “assault” rifle is the black and silver one on the far left, and most municipalities, barring Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles, don’t even consider that firearm an assault rifle because it was not designed for military use. The three rifles to the right of that one are bolt-action hunting rifles, that shoot one shot and then must be reloaded bullet by bullet. So do you’re damn research before judging someone.

does anybody know what company makes the 2 grey bolt action rifles?

  • 6. LHS  |  January 7, 2009 at 3:39 pm

The grey rifles are Mannlicher Steyr Scout rifles.

thanks joe, ive never seen a bolt action “assult rifle” as he calles them, and your also right that the ruger on the left barely comes close to one

none of those are even close to assault rifles.

also, someone wanted to know who makes the bolt action rifles, they are Steyr Scouts, made in Austria.
